Police charged a Toronto murder first degree Wednesday in the death of the student at the University of York 23 - year - old Qian Liu.

Brian Dickson, 29, is to appear in court Thursday in connection with the murder of the Chinese student last weekend.

The father of the student at York University found dead last week was led Wednesday from Beijing to Toronto, where the police seek to determine what happened to her.
